Axe The Beer Tax Campaign

The “Axe the Beer Tax – Save the Pub” campaign goes from strength to strength.  But we need your help to make sure we can keep up the pressure on Government to give local pubs and beer drinkers a break. It is just three weeks since the campaign launch:

More than 7,500 people have signed up in support and lobbied their MP
More than 12,000 have signed up to support the campaign on Facebook
Over 1,300 people have watched the launch video on Facebook

In response, more than 70 MPs from all parties have signed a parliamentary motion.  It is called EDM 10 and you can see if your MP has signed it by going onto the supporter’s page on www.axethebeertax.com.
How can you help?
We need as many people as possible to sign up and put pressure on MPs and Government if we are to achieve our aims and there are a number of things that you can do to support the campaign.

Pass it on - send this email to your friends to make them aware of the campaign.
Get in touch - let us know your stories and experiences, we’re keen to see your videos and pictures of your local pub, showing what it means to your community.
Become an official supporter – if you run a pub, brewery or business reliant on the beer industry, become a supporter on the website. Just send in a company logo.
Facebook – We have over 12,000 supporters on Facebook, make sure you have signed up.
In the New Year we will be launching more aspects to the campaign and will let you know of the details. In the mean time don’t forget to keep checking the site for updated materials and latest news from the campaign.
Thank you for your support so far and have a happy Christmas.
